Security Camera update
Our landlord, Andrew Morrow, has made available a 5-camera system, which can be hooked up to either our or his server. This is to be installed on the outside of the building for surveillance and monitoring of activity around the building.
Mykel has sourced another system via an online sale that is good value for the money
{Today (and for 6 more days) on Woot for $500, refurb (so + $120 for the 2yr square trade), so $620.
http://tech.woot.com/offers/16-channel-10-camera-dvr-security-system-with-2tb-hd-1?ref=cnt_wp_1_1
That's 10 IR indoor/outdoor cameras and a 16 channel system with a 2TB hard drive. That'd be about 1-2 months of backlog that could be offloaded before being recycled. That's $62/camera for 2 years of warranty, with the ability to add 6 more if that somehow (insanely) becomes necessary.
We would almost certainly need (several) extensions for it to reach the more inaccessible parts of the space, especially the back door area. These are reasonably priced (4 for $45 on Amazon), so total price with shipping is $670.}

Trae to talk to Mykel about options (how we will pay for this, necessity right now, etc) JC has successfully installed one Raspberry PI powered surveillance camera in the libary. Outstanding question - can the project leaders successfully pull all camera feeds into one page on the group website? JC to talk to Mykel regarding making that available through the firewall. Shirley has questions regarding when we can get the space's internal server functional? Would like to implement the Seltzer CRM and GNUCash.

(discussed who was available to work on it, as the members with IT and server experience are busy in their work lives)

Trae attended Light Dreams Saturday evening. He said that this was something RMM should publicize and facilitate makers projects for next year.

Bill Hudson had received continuous Safety Instructor certifications on machine tools 1992-2005 while he was a manager at US Steel. He also authored an array of Job Safety Protocols (SJPs) during that time. This should qualify him for the title of RMM Senior Safety Instructor.

Bill Hudson installed RMMs mailbox 5502 1st ave North.

Andrew Spear dropped off some computers.

Alarm installed on the back door.
