  • Field trip proposal - Auburn University's Polymer & Textiles Engineering department - no further progress

  • Woodlawn Community Fair = payment of $15.00 charge approved
  • Projects
    • Power car race project - Shawn anticipates finishing Wednesday. Still need one driver. Call for drivers!
    • Need to push IndieGoGo campaign - at $280.00. For sponsors - the car will be featured at RMM's show booth going forward.
    • 3D printers - the RMM kit needs to be reengineered.
      • Need to use 3D Robohead to print replacement part before it's returned to MAKEBhm.
      • Need to show MAKEBhm people how to run correctly with software.
  • New Internet provider - considering Brighthouse Cable
    • Reason: AT&T (telephone) drops regularly.
    • Proposal: Run Brighthouse for space wifi @ $50/month, retain AT&T for computer lab 2.0, for remainder of contract.
    • Request (if possible) that Mykel make router log of router performance available for discussion with AT&T?
    • Question - are they delivering service as specified contract.
  • Migrating domain - James Nylen would like to get RMM domain out on it's own (currently hosted as part of Shirley's personal domain space)
    • Chris Lais - has concerns regarding having group info on a hosted server (security).
  • Standing rule proposal to make storage drawers $10 each? $45 total member rate.
    • Shirley has a problem with $10 - concern about covering costs.
    • Trae suggested that we poll membership re the rates to determine make or break point.
  • Space event requests - when will Fiber Lab sewing lessons be available?
    • Shirley says - from October 6th forward.
    • Electrical - $600 to install exit signs required for insurance.
    • Need to write grant request. We need to have class proposals to buttress our request.
    • Vaping - Shirley's husband Mark has completed a medical literature search - report to come for board meeting.
      • JC asked who is OK with it? Most present were, but have concerns regarding other members' acceptance.
      • Shirley to draft language for board meeting.
      • Space tidiness - stuff that doesn't parking ticket will be removed from the front room. No Parking Zone sign to go up.
