  • Next version of website and membership CRM is ready for testing as soon as James Nylen is available -- Shirley

V. New Business

  • Planned Game Night fundraiser for October
  • Mike Jensen will be working with Sally Kuhn to plan, publicize, and organize the fundraiser.
  • Mike came by the space earlier in the week to visit
  • Mike knows most of the comic and game store owners in the region, and knows how to tap into that network.
  • Also has access to a shop's worth of game controllers.
  • Has grant writing and fundraising experience as part of his professional work (psychologist)
  • Mike talked about some of the ways to find grants, including the current grant schedule
  • Shirley commented that we now have access to an evolving list of grants with deadlines that is being developed within the Nation of Makers project.
  • Agreement from those in attendance that the event would be a good one.
  • Need to find a location for the event - possibly upstairs? (Shirley will get pricing) as front meeting room will be too small.
  • Call for membership to find some locations/ Please add to - list of off-site locations under development
