JD is holding a Arduino Basics workshop! Arduino is an open source microcontroller platform that allows you to combine actuators, sensors and the logic that controls them on a single platform. Their website is http://arduino.cc/en/ ... Come out to learn the basics or to help those of us who are learning! Arduinos are a lot of fun and working with them will be sure to get creative ideas flowing!
Here are some things to bring if you have them:
- Arduino(s) (there should be plenty to go around)
- A laptop
- A multimeter
If you're bringing a laptop be sure to install the arduino software before hand: http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Software ... This software will allow you to upload a control program to any arduino microcontroller.
This is a popular topic so we have regular microcontroller meetings on the first Tuesday of every month. Everyone is welcome (beginners to experts) and if you want specific instruction or help with a project, come on by and ask.
